Flourishing Learning Network
Who it’s for
Flourishing is for children and young people facing barriers to learning, social connection or community participation. A diagnosis is not required.
- Finding school attendance or participation difficult
- Anxiety around learning or social situations
- SEND or additional needs
- Social isolation, lost friendships or low confidence
- Difficulty accessing large groups or busy settings
- A need for gentle opportunities to reconnect through shared interests
Different starting points are welcome
Children can observe, stay close to a parent or carer and join in when ready. We discuss each activity’s arrangements and capacity with families so everyone knows what to expect.
For families too
Parents and carers can become isolated when everyday activities become harder. We want families to meet others, share experiences and feel part of a community.
Working alongside existing support
Flourishing creates additional opportunities for belonging, confidence and participation alongside education, health, social care and specialist support. The first goal may simply be feeling comfortable somewhere or discovering something enjoyable.
